Remembering Pete is a memoir that I wrote—primarily for myself—following my husband’s death from glioblastoma. In the course of writing and editing it, I found that I fell in love with him all over again. The project was bittersweet, and I both laughed and cried while working on it. Yet I never doubted that this was something I wanted to do. I expect, and hope, that anyone else who loved Pete will have a similar reaction. I did this for you, too.

I offer my heartfelt thanks to those who contributed their words and their photographs for this book. If any of your messages or stories have been left out, then the error is mine—I made a decision to include them all, and any omissions are unintentional.

Although I have no recordings of Pete speaking (and I so wish to hear his voice again), I find comfort in re-reading his blog, Verbsap because his “voice” comes through so clearly. For that reason I have re-created it as part of this website.

For friends who wish to have a PDF version of the book, please contact me. You know how.

To give you a sense of the scope (the book is over 200 pages) and organization, there are extracts of each chapter introduction in the section below.
